What bothers me about this is that it’s a continuation -an unquestioned continuation -of the objectification of women’s bodies. Would Hirst have been as enthusiastic if his tattoo had been done on a penis? Would we? Would the “art” world?

Feels like misplaced enthusiasm at best and absolute exploitation at worst -but then, that’s always been Damien Hirst’s trademark. I’m looking forward to the day men’s bodies are every bit as objectified as women’s – it may not be right but at least it’s something approaching parity.
