Persephone Magazine on Feminism for Real
(including a look at my poem, “After The Third Wave”)

Persephone Magazine has taken an in depth look at Feminism for Real and they’ve included “After The Third Wave”, one of my poems from the book.

Poetry, an often looked down upon form of expression ( as well as one of the most accessible) , is well included in the book. The medium of poetry often can go simply in only a few words, where sometimes essays struggle over words to be. One of the most striking ones, “After The Third Wave” by D. Cole Ossandon.

Check out the post here.

Thanks, Persephone Magazine!

Feminism For Real made Ms. Magazine’s “Top 100 Feminist Non-Fiction Countdown”

I’m super proud that Feminism For Real, which contains two of my poems, made Ms. Magazine’s “Top 100 Feminist Non-Fiction Countdown” at number 57.

The list includes remarkable work by women I admire, and since I think Feminism For Real is an incredibly important book (edited by the awesome Jessica Yee), this is really wonderful news.

Be sure to check out the full list AND the book.

The Pursuit of Harpyness includes my poem After the Third Wave in their weekly blogging of Feminism for Real

Over on The Pursuit of Harpyness, “annajcook” is blogging weekly about her reading of Feminism for Real. For week fourteen, she has included one of my poems from the book, After the Third Wave. Click here to check it out.
